My name is Irina Anikeeva.
In the vibrant city of San Diego, I find inspiration in the interplay of light and shadow.
My artistic practice is not confined to a single medium; rather, it is an ever-evolving dialogue between charcoal, watercolor, oils, and beyond. This versatility allows me to experiment freely, pushing the boundaries of traditional artistic expression. Through my exploration of diverse mediums and the rich visual tapestry of Southern California, I invite you to join me on a journey of discovery, where the ordinary becomes extraordinary, and the shadows reveal the true essence of our surroundings.
When I am not painting, I channel my creative energy into being an independent knitwear designer. I often work with yarn manufacturers and knitting publications. I am the author of three knitting pattern books. You may check out my work here: www.irmiandesign.com
